Fronditha Care: From Quality Data to Action

Collecting quality data is only the beginning. The real work is deciding what needs to change, who will act and how progress will be followed up.

Fronditha Care explored that challenge through ARIIA's Building Data Capability to Improve Care Quality flagship project. The St Albans team tested a digital continuous improvement workflow focused on pressure injury prevention.

The right actions for the right staff

The project trialled QPS Benchmarking's CQI Assistant, integrated with Telstra Health Clinical Manager. It combined digital tools with staff training, wound-management education and a revised improvement workflow.

Corrective actions were allocated according to staff roles and scope of practice. The published account reports more relevant action allocation, stronger outcome documentation and greater frontline participation.

The practical aim is focused staff effort: relevant information and actions for the people responsible, with clear follow-up and management oversight.

Better care, with potential cost savings

Fronditha Care's project account, published by ARIIA, reports:

67%
Reported reduction in pressure injuries
$240,000
Potential annual savings per facility if sustained

These are potential savings linked to pressure injury prevention, not confirmed savings or a guaranteed software return. The findings reflect the combined project.

Moving beyond reporting

The project illustrates a practical challenge facing aged care providers: how can an identified quality issue become an improvement action that is owned, completed and reviewed?

QPS's Converge CQI platform supports role-focused communication through alerts and summary digests tailored to users' roles and preferences, helping frontline staff stay focused while managers retain oversight. Connected auditing and improvement tools support action and outcome tracking.

Congratulations to Fronditha Care and everyone involved in the project.
